On October 16, the Maryland MTA announced that serious cuts to MARC Service are being proposed and public hearings will be held to collect feedback from the riding public. This is your ONLY CHANCE to have your views and opinions with regard to these cuts be put on official record.

Note that at Governor O’Malley’s insistence, NO FARE INCREASES are being included as a possible alternative to the cuts being proposed. The MARC Riders Advisory Committee (MRAC) has sent a letter to Governor O’Malley rejecting the proposed cuts and asking for him to reconsider a fare increase among other alternative ideas outlined in our letter.
